Platet-rich plasma therapy for hair loss is a three step medical treatment in which the clients blood is drawn, processed in a centrifuge, and then injected back into the scalp. The injections stimulate natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. This technique can address male pattern boldness, female pattern hair loss (including androgenetic alopecia), stimulate growth of hair transplants. Most PRP therapy treatments require four to six treatments four weeks apart. To be a good candidate, clients must have normal platelet function.
